The annual Lone Eagle Fly In on Sunday 9th June proved to be very popular once again with around 40 aircraft and plenty of spectators.
With a foggy start to the day some aircraft held a holding pattern to the north of the airfield until conditions improved. By 8.20 am all aircraft were landing and pilots were making their way to a hot bacon and egg roll breakfast in the hangar.
It was great to see a good selection of aircraft including the 1935 Waco bi-plane, a Chipmunk, Pitts S2, Yak 18, Super Stol, Cirrus and a variety of Cessnas and Pipers.
The relaxed event in the perfect Queenland winter weather was a great day for aviators and aviation enthusiasts alike.
