2025 Fly In Breakfast

Updated: Jun 26

Clifton's Lone Eagle Flying School turned on a perfect winter's day (white frosted airstrip included) for its annual breakfast 2025 'Fly-In'. There was a little fog very early that made the first aircraft hold for 10 minutes, then 55 arrived including 3 twins (a Cessna 310, a Cessna 337 and a twin Tecnam) and a full range of other aircraft including a trike and two aerochutes.

As if scripted, over 60 aircraft landed in perfect precision. Friendly aviation enthusiasts that make up the club's volunteer membership provided parking guidance for the visiting aircraft. This precision parking allowed those with a passion for flying or interested members of the public to view the diverse range of craft.

The waffling smell of fresh coffee, bacon and egg rolls provided the perfect elixir for camaraderie and meeting new friends. With fond farewells, the visiting aircraft departed in the same orderly fashion as they arrived.

Many thanks to Russell Denver and Jeffrey Duke for the outstanding photos.

"The 'Lone Eagle Fly-In' event was a true delight to participate in".

"Thank you for holding the fly-in. I’ve been meaning to come for years but it was my first visit today and I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. And the simple free brekkie was the icing on the cake! I think some other venues can learn from your approach to motivate aviators to visit. Well done on a well-managed event".
