Joe goes Solo

Joe Phillips from Nobby on the Darling Downs has just completed his FIRST SOLO flight at the age of 15 with Lone Eagle Flying School at Clifton.

Joe was awarded an Airservices Australia flying Scholarship through RAAus earlier this year and has used those funds to expediate and further his training towards his flying goals.

On Friday 25th September 2025 Joe completed his first solo flight and was congratulated by his Instructor Dave Donald SI and his CFI Trevor Bange. This momentous milestone further cements his resolve to finalising his RAAus Pilots Certificate and obtaining his cross country endorsement through RAAus and the Lone Eagle Flying School, with the ultimate goal of becoming a commercial Crop dusting pilot.
