The Champion was last flown in 1969, 57 years ago. It had never flown in Australia. On Sunday June 14 it took to the skies. It was test flown three times by Trevor.

Flight 1 – Bunny hops and ground runs to check that it was operating well.

Flight 2 – Circuits x 3.

Flight 3 – It was put through its paces as per any plane, stalls, high speed runs, various angle bank turns, side slipping, forced landing and climbing and descending turns.

At one stage on Sunday, we had two Champions on the airfield.

Aaron’s first flight in the Champion on Friday June 19.

A very exciting time, after a lot of effort and commitment.

It has now done 2.2 hours.
