CASA Seminar Time to Decide, Aviation Decision Making

Chace Eldridge presented a very informative session at Lone Eagle Flying School on Time to Decide – Aviation Decision Making.

The session was well attended with the youngest being 7 month old Hadrian Monk.

The presentation was followed by a BBQ and chat.

Some takeaway points were:

  • Experience can be a good thing, but it can also make you complacent.

  • The Swiss Cheese Model for Defence. The more layers in place, the more defences that can be in place.

  • Passengers – encourage them to be actively involved in looking out for other craft.

  • The more preparation we do on the ground, the more likely we are to make good decisions in the air.
